Jenks Fire/Rescue responded to a report of a structure fire 8/2/12 at the intersection of 1st and Beaver St around 17:30. The fire started in the back of a vacant structure in 2 metal trailers. The fire quickly spread and 2 houses were lost along with a detached garage. Tulsa Fire Department responded and helped with getting the fires under control. No residents were injured but 2 Jenks firefighters were treated for heat exhaustion along with 1 Tulsa firefighter. A special thanks to all the citizens who supplied the firefighters with plenty of bottled water and Gatorade! We appreciate each and every one of you!
